| Educate Together has welcomed news from the Department of Education and Skills that a new primary school will be opening in Riverstown / Glanmire in 2013. Educate Together will be applying for patronage of this school. Our first public meeting took place on September 8th 2011 in The Vienna Woods Hotel to discuss plans and to launch pre-enrollment. Our second public meeting is planned to take place in early October. Time and venue to be decided. Educate Together has been offering multi-denominational education since 1978 when its first school, the Dalkey School Project opened. It has grown over the following years to a national network of 60 schools with over 13,000 pupils currently enrolled. Its schools are child-centred and teach the national curriculum. A founding principle of its approach to education is that all children regardless of social, cultural or religious backgrounds are treated with equal respect.
